About Us

   K. Frances Designs at Romero Jewelers is a woman owned small local business that specializes in unique, one of a kind custom designed pieces. Romero Jewelers has been in business in the Albuquerque community for 40 years.
 

   Kay Frances is the owner and master designer. Kay has been designing for 30 years. She attended UNM for art and Gemology Institute of America for jewelry making. She worked as a sub-contractor to many local jewelers and designed for many large companies. Kay has now been on her own for 23 years. Within those 23 years she has had the great pleasure of creating custom designed cufflinks for the King of Spain, rings for UNM Hall of Honor, one White Sox World Series ring, and pins and watches for the Great Western Zone of State Farm. These are just a few examples of the many unique and contemporary designs,  all of which we are very proud of. We truly enjoy creating timeless, elegant, and individual pieces for that bride who is anticipating that special day or for your grandmother creating a mothers ring. The personal experience of honoring life's special moments that mean so much to all of us, is what gives us fruition.

   As a member of the community and a local business, we have become more active in community events. Most recently, were a silver sponsor of the Women of Influence in the NM Business Weekly Magazine. We created and donated a ring for auction for the March of Dimes, contributed our time at Joy Junction, and sponsored two Great Diamond Dash Bridal Shows. The community is why we are here and why we continue to thrive. 

  Nicole Guillen, Store Manager, has been working at Romero Jewelers  going on two years. Nicole is responsible for the day to day runnings of the store, from open to close. Providing quality customer service, our monthly newsletter, accts. receivable and payable, and many other behind the scenes tasks.  Nicole has also designed and sold a custom ring. She is currently attending CNM for Respiratory Therapy.
